I’m going to be 50 next year and I love fashion but it seems to me that women over the age of 35 are not really catered for. The focus always seems to be on younger women, especially in Dubai.
It’s almost as if once a woman reaches a certain age they should not be interested in clothes and should dress in a conservative manner – silk shirts and pearls – and while that’s fine, it’s not me.
That’s why I started JHC. I am not going to disappear into the wallpaper. I still feel young and I wish I had the confidence that I have now when I was younger. As George Bernard Shaw once said, “Youth is wasted on the young”!
So my body and face aren’t what they once were (although I’m not sure my figure was ever up to much!) however, that doesn’t mean that don’t still want clothes that have an edge but are easy to wear and comfortable. I want clothes that I can dress up or dress down. I want to dress for how I feel on that day and I am always going to dress for me.
So this brings me on to the Judith Hobby Clothing design ethos can be summarised as simple, contemporary clothing with an edge. Practical and comfortable, without compromise on style, the clothes allow a woman to stay ahead of the game with ease
JHC is fun, laughter, comfortable, confident, relaxed…I hope you will enjoy the clothes as much as I do.
